Week 17HJ- Garden of your Mind

What are you planting in the garden of your mind?

Your Mind is like a garden:

What ever you plant will grow.

Your thought’s are seeds your planting:

They produce, each after its kind.

And you, just like a gardner,

Can choose which seeds you’ll plant,

And by the choice of seeds you sow,

You choose the harvest you will reap.

So don’t plant seeds of lack or fear,

Disease, discord, or doubt.

Plant, instead, the seeds you want;

Then things you want will sprout.

The gift of choice is given to all,

And not to just a few.

The harvest, friend, is in your hands:

The crop depends on you.

So take this power which you’ve been given,

And use it everyday,

To gain from life the good you want,

For you have found the way.

Little did we know it at the time, but this little poem was to have a profound affect both on our thought patterns as well as our Artworks.

It started almost as a kind of game. We decided to make a real effort to watch our thoughts and see exactly what it was that we were planting in our own “Mind Gardens“. It was difficult at first, but gradually, we began to pay more and more attention to what thoughts were repeatedly flashing across our minds.

How disturbing it was to discover that many of these “seeds” were extremely negative thoughts destined to grow patches of thorny thistles and stinging nettles in our daily lives !

We gradually came to see how so many of the problems and difficulties we were encountering in our lives had their beginnings in the seeds of doubt, fear and anxiety that we were continually planting in our minds.

It does take effort, but like anything else it gets easier with practice, and the amazing thing is, as we became more and more aware of these negative thoughts we are able to say:-

“No! I will NOT plant this weed in the Garden of my Mind “

I will consciously choose to plant something better. The results are truly spectacular.

When you start to consciously cultivate your own mind garden, you will truly be amazed at the changes which begin to happen in your life. Obstacles disappear, barriers fall away, and things that you once thought were either impossible or very far away will suddenly come into view.

In the christian bible it is written “As ye sow, so shall ye reap.” This principle has been understood by wise sages and prophets for many thousands of years. Whatever thought we continually plant into our minds will grow into what we will later experience in our lives.

Week 17 Masterkey Natures Greatest Miracle

I am natures greatest miracle.
Within me burns a flame which has been passed from generations uncounted and it’s heat is a constant irritation to my spirit to become better than I am.
I am a unique creature of nature.
I am rare, and there is value in all rarity; therefore, I am valuable.
I have unlimited potential.  Only a small portion of my brain do I employ; only a paltry amount of my muscles do I flex.
A hundredfold or more can I increase my accomplishments of yesterday and this I will do, beginning today.
I can accomplish far more than I have.
I am nature’s greatest miracle.
I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain,
I apply all my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I strain my potential until it cries for mercy.
I practice and improve and polish the words I utter.
I seek constantly to improve my manners and graces, for they are the sugar to which all are attracted.
I am nature’s greatest miracle.
I will concentrate my energy on the challenge of the moment and my actions help me forget all else.
I am nature’s greatest miracle.
I have been given eyes to see and a mind to think and now I know a great secret of life for I perceive, at last, that all my problems, discouragements, and heartaches, are in truth, great opportunities in disguise.
I am natures greatest miracle.
I was conceived in love and brought forth for with a purpose.
In the past I have not considered this fact but it henceforth shape and guide my life.
I am nature’s greatest miracle.
And nature knows not defeat.
I win for I am unique.

Masterkey Week 16 Acts of Kindness

Hillary Sadlon spent six months preparing for her most recent birthday.

The Seton Hall University senior was not planning a massive party. Instead, Sadlon was getting set to donate blood, deliver supplies to an animal shelter, load an elderly couple’s car with groceries and help drivers pay their expressway tolls.

These good deeds represented only a fraction of what she dubbed “Hillary’s 22 Random Acts of Kindness.”

Among the most significant acts she carried out during her birthday do-gooding: donating blood at Bethlehem’s Miller-Keystone Blood Center. The center was so inspired by her act that staffers there featured her in a brief video interview.

“This goes back to me being a nursing major,” she said. “I know the importance of the healthcare aspect. One of their problems is getting the younger generation to donate blood. Out of all the people able to donate, only 5% actually do. So I was very happy to do this for them.”

Today I purchased lunch for a stranger:-) What a great feeling! I’m overcome with emotion as I type this. He asked “Why?” and I replied, “Just trying to make the world a better place.” The he says to me, “Imagine what the world would be like if everyone did that.” What struck me most was that he was probably no older than 18 or 19, I’m 37, and I’m certain that it impacted his life in a positive way. I simply asked him to pay it forward and to continue the cycle of giving with no expectation of return. That’s how we’re going to change the world, one person & one act a time.
My First Grade Class is taking on a project to celebrate 100’s Day/Valentine’s Day. Their goal is to reach 100 random acts of kindness by our 100th day of school. Our entire school is watching them and emailing or writing me notes about what they see. Our kids have brainstormed different ways to show kindness around the school. It has motivated them to help others by teaching them the power of being kind to one another. We need more teachers and students like this!

Masterkey Week 15 Natures Greatest Miracle

These laws in which we live are designed solely for our advantage. These laws are immutable and we cannot escape from their operation.   All the great eternal forces act in solemn silence, but it is in our power to place ourselves in harmony with them and thus express a life of comparitive peace and happiness.

We cannot obtain what we lack if we tenaciously cling to what we have.  We are able to consciously control our conditions as we come to sense the purpose of what we attract, and are able to extract from each experience only what we require for our further growth.  Our ability to do this determines the degree of harmony or happiness we attain.

Love is another universal law that we must adhere to. In the beginning of time God showed his love by creating Adam and Eve. He then later showed his love by allowing his son Jesus to come to earth to die for our sins. That was the greatest show of love of all time. God also showed love when he created man, and in his likeness. Therefore, humans are capable of showing and receiving love.     Don’t let your ego get in the way of loving others!

Treat the ones closet to you with dignity and respect. Above all else, show love to them. Don’t let any issues interfere in your love with your closet companion.  Always be centered and connected with your inner being or spirit, whichever you prefer to call it. When you love others, do so unconditionally. Do not accept or expect love in return. Love others as they grow in spirit and in personal growth.

We reap what we sow is mathematically exact.  We gain permanent strength exactly to the extent of the effort required to overcome difficulties.  The inexorable requirements of growth demand that we exert the greatest degree of attraction for what is perfectly in accord with us. Our highest happiness will be best attained through our understanding of, and conscious cooperation with natural laws.  In order to possess vitality thought must be impregnated with love.  Love is a product of the emotions. It is therefore essential that the emotions be controlled and guided by the intellect and reason.

We manifest more and more life as our thought becomes clarified and takes higher planes. This is obtained with greater facility as we use word pictures that are clearly defined, and relieved of teh conceptions attached to them on lower planes of thought.  It is with words that we must express our thoughts, and if we are to make use of higher forms of truth, we may use only such material as has been carefully and intelligently selected with this purpose in view.

We know that the Universal Thought has for its goal the creation of form, and we know that the individual thought is likewise forever attempting to express itself in form, and we know that the word is a thought form, and sentence is a combination of thought forms, therefore, if we wish our ideal to be beautiful or strong, we must see that the words out of which this temple will eventually be created are exact, that they are put together carefully, because accuracy in building words and sentences is the highest form of architecture in civilization and is a passport to success.  Words are thoughts and are therefore an invisible and invincible power which will finally objectify themselves in the form they are given.

How shall we know that this is true? Because if we apply the principle of mathematics correctly we shall be certain of our results. Where there is health there will be no disease. If we know the truth we cannot be deceived by error. If we let in light there can be no darkness, and where there is abundance there can be no poverty.  This is a fact which will enable you to destroy every manner of discord, lack, and limitation.

There can be no question but that he who “is wise enough to understand” will readily recognize that the creative power of thought places an invincible weapon in his hands and makes him a master of destiny.

For this reason insight must be exercised so that the thought which we entertain contains no mental, moral or physical germ which we do not wish objectified in our lives.

Masterkey-Week 14 Perseverence

CH quote

Those who are not successful or do not get what they want are in fact pushing away the success an are violating the universal law of gratitude. In fact, there are five key mistakes or ways of thinking that people make with gratitude that cause them not to get what they want in life. These five ways include:

1. Abundance: Some people wonder if there is enough to go around for everyone. If your belief that the universe has only a limited supply, you are going nowhere in life and will never amount to anything. This is a major fallacy in life. In fact, there is more than enough abundance in the universe. It is endless. God promised us that we would have abundance forever if we chose to have it. The universe is energy. Energy is everlasting. Therefore, what we want comes from energy. It only goes to show that the universe will never run out of anything we want. It will always supply us with what we want when we want it. We just have to ask.

2. Non-resistance to what is:  This is a mistaken thought or principle that people have. It keeps us from having the gratitude we should have. When we think with non-resistance, we are in fact having the mental attitude that whatever happens, happens. We don’t fight it, we just let it be. In other words, people who think this way believe they deserve what they got or believe that was the way it was supposed to be. Therefore, they limit themselves to what life has to offer. If it involves something they can’t do anything about, they just let it be and state that is the way it was meant to be. In this case, you can apply the law of opposites and think that there is good in the situation instead of bad.

3. No satisfaction: People tend to associate satisfaction with being happy and having abundance. But there is a difference. When you are satisfied, you accept what is. You can be satisfied without being grateful. This is because you accepted things the way they are and not challenge it. Happiness, on the other hand, is a state of joy or gratitude. It is a very positive and attractive mental energy. By being satisfied, you are actually limiting yourself to what you can have in your life. It is important to be happy and satisfied now. It you do, you will have gratitude and will be in the position for much abundance.

4. Forgiveness: You may not know this but forgiveness is also a part of the Law of Gratitude. This means you need to forgive anyone who did bad things to you in the past and even in the present, as well as in the future. This is especially true if you have a grudge against someone for a long time. The way you know you forgive them is by asking yourself if you can either wish them well or be grateful for them. If you can truthfully answer “yes” you have indeed forgiven them. Forgiveness is so vital to our dreams in life that if we don’t do it and hold any resentment, fear, or any frustration inside, it can literally block us from getting what we want in life. Lastly, we must learn to forgive ourselves for what we do to others and our own selves. If we can look at ourselves in the mirror and say we love ourselves, we are on our way to experiencing the life we want..

5. Stop thinking: Unfortunately, people want to stop thinking after they get a thought in their head. They don’t want to go beyond thinking and act on what they think. They go into the steps of thinking, but they never act on what they think. Therefore, the key to having gratitude is by acting out what you think. What better way to act than to give of yourself or your time to help others? Obeying the Law of Gratitude is part of and includes the Law of Attraction.

If you want success in your life as well as abundance, you will obey these laws and when you do, you can get whatever you want in life and be happy doing it.

I watched “October Skies” on December 28th. It clearly shows that whatever we can conceive and bring ourselves to believe we can achieve .  Homer knew what he wanted to do and he gave persistent  , continuous action towards it’s attainment. He did not let anyone steal his dream and he did not live his life the way his father wanted him to. Determination and steady persistence combined with a master mind group in perfect harmony striving with the same end result in mind was victorious for them.
