C15 MasterKey “You Become What You Think About!”

Do you know the secret power of the mind? Do you know how to create the life you want?

It’s really not a secret after all. The power is available to every single person, including you. And it’s free.

“The secret” is that you are what you think. You become what you think about.

In 1956, Earl Nightingale wrote “The Strangest Secret” in an attempt to teach people the power of the mind, the power of thought. He said, “you become what you think about all day long.”

Nightingale’s inspiration came from Napoleon Hill’s book, “Think and Grow Rich,” published in 1937.

For 75 years (and likely long before that), this simple “secret” has been taught to adults around the world. At the very least, the knowledge has been available to us.

So why is it a secret?

We’re creatures of habit. We tend to follow the picture in our minds created by our parents, our neighborhoods, our towns and the part of the world from which we come. For good or for bad.

But we don’t have to. We each have a mind of our own, capable of imagining life the way we want it.

Start imagining your life the way you want it. Create a picture in your mind and think about that picture steadfastly all day long. Believe in it.

You don’t have to tell anybody. Have your own quiet confidence that you can make the picture in your mind come true.

You will start making different choices in line with your picture. You will take small steps in the right direction.

You’ll also encounter obstacles. Don’t let these obstacles stop you. If you hold your picture of the life you want steadfast in your mind, you will eventually create that life.

What have you got to lose? Close your eyes and start now.

You will become what you think about.

Some people are clueless in life and live their whole lives wondering why the hell they never managed to get anything out of it, why they don’t have any purpose. The biggest problem people have is that they don’t understand how to master their thought process and don’t understand the true power of concentrated thinking.

What you focus on, your beliefs, your dreams, your fears, worries and doubts, all become your reality because they are present in your mind. Those who understand how to control their mind and process the correct thoughts and ex out all the negative ones are the ones who end up living a fuller life and achieve what they set out to achieve. Your mind is your only true reality.

You may not realize it but your mind has 60,000 thoughts throughout the course of one day. Most of them may be the same ones from a day before but most of them are negative. You need to think of your mind as a lot weaker than you really are- it’s just the way us humans are wired. We are not born strong-minded and confident but have to strengthen our minds in order to get to the level needed for our thoughts to manifest themselves in our reality.

We choose to spend our life worrying about what the future might bring, to complain about our present circumstances and about what’s missing in our lives. We choose to spend a great amount of our time thinking about past situations and to live with regrets, with “what if’s”.

C14 MasterKey “My Notes From: The Magic of Thinking Big”

Believe You Can Succeed And You Will

  • When you believe I-can-do-it, the how-to-do-it develops.
  • Belief in success is the one basic, absolutely essential ingredient of successful people.
  • It is well to respect the leader. Learn from him. Observe him. Study him. But don’t worship him

How to develop the power of belief:

  1. Think success, don’t think failure.
  2. Remind yourself regularly that you are better than you think you are.
  3. Believe Big. The size of your success is determined by the size of your belief.

Cure Yourself of Excusitis, The Failure Disease

“But My Health Isn’t Goodd”

  • There is something physically wrong with everybody. Many surrender in whole or in part to health excusitis, but success-thinking people do not.
  • Book recommendation: How to Live 365 Days a Year by John A. Schindler

The right attitude and one arm will beat the wrong attitude and two arms every time.

But You’ve Got to Have Brains to Succeed”

    1. We underestimate our own brainpower.
    2. We overestimate the other fellow’s brainpower.
    • What really matters is not how much intelligence you have but how you use what you do have.
    • The thinking that guides you intelligence is much more important than how much intelligence you may have.
    • The ability to know how to get information is more important than using the mind as a garage for facts. -Henry Ford
  • Three ways to cure intelligence excusitis:

    1. Never underestimate your own intelligence, and never overestimate the intelligence of others.
    2. Remind yourself several times daily, “My attitudes are more important than my intelligence.”
    3. Remember that the ability to think is of much greater value than the ability to memorize fact.

Build Confidence and Destroy Fear

  • Action cures fear. Indecision, postponement, on the other hand, fertilize fear.
  • In a way, most job applicants are a little like beggars – they’ll accept anything, and they aren’t particular

How to Think Big

Four ways to develop the big thinker’s vocabulary:

  1. Use big, positive, cheerful words and phrases to describe how you feel.
  2. Use bright, cheerful, favorable words and phrases to describe other people.
  3. Use positive language to encourage others.
  4. Use positive words to outline plans to others.
  • See what can be, not just what is!
  • Look at things not as they are, but as they can be. Visualization adds value to everything. A big thinker always visualizes what can be done in the future. He isn’t stuck with the present.
  1. Practice adding value to things.
  2. Practice
    1. adding value to people.
    2. Practice adding value to yourself.

C13 Master Key “The Science of Getting Rich”

Summary of The Science of Getting Rich

Summary of  Wallace Wattles’ Teachings

The following is an edited excerpt from Chapter 17 of The Science of Getting Rich.

THERE is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.

A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought.

Wattle’s First Key to The Science of Getting Rich: Thinking in a Certain Way

People can form things in their thoughts, and by impressing their thoughts upon formless substance can cause the thing they think about to be created. Wattles describes this process as thinking in a certain way.

To do this, you must pass from the competitive to the creative mind. Otherwise you cannot be in harmony with the Formless Intelligence, which is always creative and never competitive in spirit.

Practice Gratitude. You can come into full harmony with the Formless Substance by entertaining a lively and sincere gratitude for the blessings it bestows upon you. Gratitude unifies your mind with the intelligence of Substance, so your thoughts are received by the Formless. You can remain on the creative plane only by uniting yourself with the Formless Intelligence through a deep and continuous feeling of gratitude.

Form a clear and definite mental image of the things you want to have, to do, or to become. You must hold this mental image in your thoughts, while being deeply grateful to the Supreme that all your desires are being granted. The person who wishes to get rich must spend his leisure hours in contemplating his Vision, and in earnest thanksgiving that the reality is being given to him. Too much stress cannot be laid on the importance of frequent contemplation of the mental image, coupled with unwavering faith and devout gratitude. This is the process by which the impression is given to the Formless, and the creative forces set in motion.

Wattle’s Second Key to The Science of Getting Rich: Acting in a Certain Way

What you want will come to you through the ways of established trade and commerce. The creative energy works through the established channels of natural growth, and of the industrial and social order. All that is included in your mental image will surely be brought to the person who follows the instructions given above, and whose faith does not waver.

You must be active to receive what you desire when it comes to you, and this activity can only consist in more than filling your present place. You must keep in mind the Purpose to get rich through the realization of your mental image. And you must do all that can be done every day, taking care to do each act in a successful manner. Give to every person a use value in excess of the cash value he receives, so each transaction makes for more life. And so hold the Advancing Thought that the impression of increase will be communicated to all with whom you come in contact.

If you practice these instructions of thinking in a certain way and acting in a certain way, you will certainly get rich. And the riches you receive will be in exact proportion to:

•    the definiteness of your vision,
•    the fixity of your purpose,
•    the steadiness of your faith,
•    and the depth of your gratitude.

C12 Master Key “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth”

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind and your achievement of success. As you’ve probably found out by now, those are two different worlds. No doubt you’ve read other books, listened to tapes or CDs, gone to courses, and learned about numerous get-rich systems be they in real estate, stocks, or business. But what happened? For most people, not much! They get a short blast of energy, and then it’s back to the status quo. Finally, there’s an answer. It’s simple, it’s law, and you’re not going to circumvent it. It all comes down to this: if your subconscious “financial blueprint” is not “set” for success, nothing you learn, nothing you know, and nothing you do will make much of a difference. In the pages of this book, we will demystify for you why some people are destined to be rich and others are destined for a life of struggle. You will understand the root causes of success, mediocrity, or financial failure and begin changing your financial future for the better. You will understand how childhood influences shape our financial blueprint and how these influences can lead to self-defeating thoughts and habits. You will experience powerful declarations that will help you replace your nonsupportive ways of thinking with mental “wealth files” so that you think—and succeed—just as rich people do. You will also learn practical, step-by-step strategies for increasing your income and building wealth.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind fit into your “box” of what you currently think is right or even appropriate for you. Even though I suggest that you “don’t believe a word I say” and want you to test these concepts out in your own life, I’m going to ask you to trust the ideas you are reading. Not because you know me personally, but because thousands and thousands of people have already changed their lives as a result of the principles in this book. Speaking of trust, it reminds me of one of my favorite stories. It’s about a man who is walking along a cliff and all of a sudden loses his balance, slips, and falls off. Fortunately, he has the presence of mind to grab on to the ledge, and he’s hanging there for dear life. He hangs and hangs and finally yells out, “Is there anybody up there who can help me?” There’s no answer. He keeps calling and calling, “Is there anybody up there who can help me?” Finally this big bellowing voice calls back, “This is God. I can help you. Just let go and trust.” Next thing you hear: “Is there anybody else up there who can help me?” The lesson is simple. If you want to move to a higher level of life, you have to be willing to let go of some of your old ways of thinking and being and adopt new ones. The results will eventually speak for themselves.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind Do you truly feel that you deserve wealth? What is your ability to act in spite of fear, in spite of worry, in spite of inconvenience, in spite of discomfort? Can you act when you’re not in the mood? The fact is that your character, your thinking, and your beliefs are a critical part of what determines the level of your success. One of my favorite authors, Stuart Wilde, puts it this way: “The key to success is to raise your own energy; when you do, people will naturally be attracted to you. And when they show up, bill ’em!” W E A LT H P R I N C I P L E : Your income can grow only to the extent you do! Why Is Your Money Blueprint Important? Have you heard of people who have “blown up” financially? Have you noticed how some people have a lot of money and then lose it, or have excellent opportunities start well but then go sour on them? Now you know the real cause. On the outside it looks like bad luck, a downturn in the economy, a lousy partner, whatever. On the inside, however, it’s another matter. That’s why, if you come into big money when you’re not ready for it on the inside, the chances are your wealth will be short-lived and you will lose it. The vast majority of people simply do not have the internal capacity to create and hold on to large amounts of money and the increased challenges that go with more

Your Money Blueprint . That, my friends, is the primary reason they don’t have much money. A perfect example is lottery winners. Research has shown again and again that regardless of the size of their winnings, most lottery winners eventually return to their original financial state, the amount they can comfortably handle. On the other hand, the opposite occurs for self-made millionaires. Notice that when self-made millionaires lose their money, they usually have it back within a relatively short time. Donald Trump is a good example. Trump was worth billions, lost everything, and then a couple of years later, got it all back again and more. Why does this phenomenon occur? Because even though some self-made millionaires may lose their money, they never lose the most important ingredient to their success: their millionaire mind. Of course in “The Donald” ’s case, it’s his “billionaire” mind. Do you realize Donald Trump could never be just a millionaire? If Donald Trump had a net worth of only 1 million dollars, how do you think he’d feel about his financial success? Most people would agree that he’d probably feel broke, like a financial failure! That’s because Donald Trump’s financial “thermostat” is set for billions, not millions. Most people’s financial thermostats are set for generating thousands, not millions of dollars; some people’s financial thermostats are set for generating hundreds, not even thousands; and some people’s financial thermostats are set for below zero. They’re frickin’ freezing and they don’t have a clue as to why! The reality is that most people do not reach their full potential.
